H.R. 2528: STEM Opportunities Act, S. 153: Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act and H.R. 627: STEM Research and Education Effectiveness and Transparency Act, introduced in the 116th Congress, aim to expand and diversify the U.S. STEM workforce by establishing new programs to prepare underrepresented groups and military veterans for careers in STEM.
As participants and leaders in STEM, you have special insights and experiences that can and should influence lawmakers’ deliberations. Together, faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, trainees, undergraduates, administrators and industry professionals can make a strong case for programs expanding access to STEM education, training and research funding.
